$41,400 OTF Grant Gives Youth Theatre a Voice
St. Thomas, ON – On Saturday, local MPP Rob Flack met with the team at CharACTer Curtain
Calls to hear more about the $41,400 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF)
that will be used to purchase body microphones and related sound equipment. The project will
give people attending youth performances and puppet shows in the community greater hearing
accessibility.
“Organizations such as CharACTer Curtain Calls provide a wonderful creative outlet for our
youth,” said Rob Flack, MPP for Elgin—Middlesex—London. “This investment by the Ontario
Trillium Foundation is a testament to the positive impact that CharACTer has in this community.”
CharACTer Curtain Calls (CCCalls), a not-for-profit charitable organization, is in its 9th season in
St. Thomas. Thanks to the $41,400 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, audience
members will have the ability to clearly hear the voices of its young performers.

Secretary-Treasurer of CharACTer Curtain Calls. “This grant will allow our loyal community
audiences to hear and appreciate the story being told by our dedicated actors. We also wish to
congratulate the Ontario Trillium Foundation on 40 years of granting and building healthy and
vibrant communities across the province. The impact of their grants can be seen across Elgin
County.”
The mission of CCCalls is to enhance education in the field of dramatic arts by offering
structured classes and events to children and youth, and to provide opportunities for them to
